Instead of showing yet another progress shot of my ornament. I finished all of the dangles on that one side if the ornament and am starting the other. Since I am still dangling, here's a tutorial for you to make your own dangles!
Get needle and thread. Start by adding on 3 beads. The last bed that you add is the BOTTOM bead of the dangle so it should be a small bead.
Push aside the last bead and draw the thread back through the other 2 beads.
Pull the thread taught, tie a double knot and put a small dab of glue on the knot. Snip off the thread tail.
Add on the rest of the beads from the bottom to the top. If you are sewing your dangle to something, this is the time to do it. Make sure that the top bead is close to the surface but not so tight that the dangle is still. The dangle needs to dangle.
If you are pinning the dangle into something, like an ornament ball, stick a pin into the last bead. It goes in FROM THE DANGLE SIDE.
This step is optional. I put a little dab of glue just behind the pin head. Then pull the thread taught so that the dangle hangs close to the pin.
Push the pin head against the bead. That tiny bit of glue will hold the thread in place so the dangle doesn't slip down in the next step. Just make sure that the dangle is dangly. It shouldn't be so tight that the beads won't move but there also shouldn't be any thread showing below the pin head.
Tie a triple know right behind that bead on the pin.
Put a little dab of glue on the know and snip the tread tail. Add a sequin and stick it into something.
Now you know what I'll be doing for a couple more weeks!

I'm glad you put in the link to the ornament, because I was asking, "what the heck is this?" Now I want to know "what the heck are you gonna do with all these danglies?"

I don't think my hands could work with such tiny pieces.
I still have crafts I haven't had time to play with, way too many projects;)

What fun! I really really want to do these. I still haven't ordered the ornatment kit. I have oodles of beads, so I just might experiment a little. I'll try to make sure my dangle is dangly.
Beady things are so beautiful!
question: what kind of thread is best?
