That's a wonderful label, Vicki! It's great that you were able to document Flora's quilts.

Deb Hardman

How nice to finish a generational quilt this way. I have some dresden plates that my grandmother made that I really want to finish somehow. Hopfully I ge them done, & don't leave them for my grand daughters!

I bet your grandma is smiling down you & on everything you finish for her!

Lovely - so nice you and your Mom are turning your G Grandmothers tops and blocks into finished quilts!! Nice job.

Oh, to be in Houston with my friend Nancy Kerns who is one of the BIG WINNERS - She's going on Tuesday and will find out then what award she received for her beautiful applique quilt.

Ruth Lane

It's wonderful to be able to work on a quilt that your Grandmother helped you with. Connects the generations and the label is a wonderful idea.

What a beautiful quilt Vicki - how lucky you are to have some vintage quilts and quilt tops in your family. You have done a wonderful job finishing Flora's quilt.

OH the memories this quilt brings back for me. I have some of my grandmothers blocks that I am wanting to get into quilts. Hopefully this winter will prove to be the time to do some things just for me.

Love your quilt and the story behind it.

Fantastic quilt--and the provenance is just wonderful. I have some vintage tops that need rescuing too. Tell me, did you launder the blocks before you sewed them together? Thanks for sharing your quilt's story.

Beautiful. I love your label. I am bad about adding them to my quilts.

Carol Hansen

I don't think I've seen that particular pattern before. Interesting.
Love the documentation on the label.

A very, very beautiful quilt - how lovely of you and your mum to finish these, such a treasure for your family!

Love the block design. You have done a wonderful job completing this quilt.

Vicki - this is great family tradition! What a wonderful way to continue the quilting in a family. I like the label that you add too :)

It's funny how contemporary old quilts can look, isn't it? You did a wonderful job finishing your great-grandmother's quilts.
