I finished the blue crumb/mile-a-minute quilt top this weekend!
I'm really please with how this one turned out. It wen't together really quickly. My crumb blocks are cut at 9" square. I set them on point and 4 blue corners. Those were cut from 6 7/8" squares cut once on the diagonal. It will be a long time before it's quilted but I'm pretty sure I want to quilt it with dark gold (color, not metallic) thread. I had about 12 extra blocks so I decided to set them in some left over gold fabrics. It's not the pretties back but it got some fabrics out of my stash for a change......and it's the back.
So, here it is, with the binding, all ready to be quilted.......later.

This is one great looking quilt! I might just have to try one of these on a quilting get-a-way in early october. Is it your pattern?

I've been particularly taken with this quilt and love the finished top. My problem is I can't put my finger on what it is that I'm so drawn to....I think it's the blue/gold combo but when I look at the blocks individually there really isn't all that much gold. I just know I like it :)

I really like the zigzag setting. I will have to remember that. I usually just do straight sets...and I get bored with that!B

Beautiful, Vicki - I like how you have used the dark navy to make the rest of the blocks stand out!

I see a few of these in my future too- they look fun to sew and I definitely have the scraps.
I love yours with the dark blue.

I love how that came out and the blue shade. Setting on point really gives it a whole new look. Can't wait to see how you quilt it.

Very nice! Are you going to get fancy quilting in that solid blue with your gold thread?

Good for you! My m-a-m blocks are driven to and from sewing day at the guild every month. One day I hope to actually WORK on them. My sashing is red.

I really like the way this turned out especially the zig zag look of the navy fabric. Great job Vicki! I have so many scraps so maybe I will have to borrow your idea to try and use mine up. I need to make the family xmas quilt out of my mom's stash that is left and this would be a great way of using up all those very small pieces I have been hanging on to.
