I haven't made a ton of progress on this lately but Monday night I did finish all of the beaded draping on the lower half of the ball. That probably took about 4 hours all together. The rest of it will go a little faster and maybe I will have Gold Coast done next week. I think I'll make one more before I let the cat out of the closet again. After my last post about these ornaments did anyone decide to do one of these?
I've got the rest of the week off and have my normal excessively long list of things I want to accomplish. One thing I am working on is cleaning out closets and rooms of unneeded STUFF. My goal is to work on it one hour each day. I missed yesterday so I spent 2 hours this morning and cleaned out the office and guest room. It certainly won't take long for me to fill the pick up truck so Chris can go to Goodwill.
No, I will not be contributing things from my sewing room! I did that last year.
The other thing I am doing this week is working on my Initiative piece for the Fiberactions challenge. Tomorrow is totally dedicated to that.

I am tempted because I enjoyed working with beads when I was a young girl but now... I don't think I have it in me. I gave it some serious thought though. It sure is nice to know there is a possibility to make the effort if I really wanted to though. That's what I'm going to take away from that post. The information isn't out of reach. It is possible and that's cool!

The ornament turned out just beautiful. I love it! I was also tempted and am going to keep this in mind because I think it is something that I would be interested in doing at some point. Here is to getting all you need to get accomplished done before the week's end! Happy New Year!

Beautiful!!
I didn't make any ornaments, but I dug into the closet to see if I still had Gram's leftovers. Sure enough, I found sequins in all shapes and colors, short pins and even a few kits. I didn't have the time to thoroughly examine them, but with your reminders, they are now back on the list of things to consider.
Happy New Year!!!
