I did get the commission tshirt quilt top done today. I only had the
borders left to do. Then I squared up the backing and got that loaded
on the frame. This is the quilt that I made the tie dye symmetrical spiral
for. I want the backing to be centered on the quilt so I am trying
something new on this one. I am going to start the quilting in the
middle and am aligning the middle of the quilt along the center of the
backing. You can see the top of the batting and the top rolled up near the take-up roller. Has anyone else ever done this? This is how I have it set up
on the frame to get started. I want to get this one done this coming
weekend - totally done, quilting, binding and label!
-
One hour of the cat cross stitch - I worked on it for about 30 minutes this week but hope to get an hour in during the coming week.
-
2 hours on the log cabin - Nothing on this because I needed to do some alterations and repair sewing for my nephew. Once the tshirt quilt is done I can focus on this one again.
-
FINISH the College Tshirt quilt - It was more like 3 hours and it's ready for quilting!
-
-
8 hours dyeing, ironing and listing for the etsy shop - I probably did about 20 hours this week with dyeing, ironing and etsy maintenance and have that much ahead for the coming week too
-
Start my Christmas postcards - I do 3 sets each year and it's time to get going on them - this will start Labor Day weekend when I will have 6 days off!

I am making some progress on the teal quilt too but no specific goals. While working on the tshirt quilt I used the teal blocks as my leaders and enders.
I finished repairing James' shorts and quilt.
I finally have something else up on the design wall! Here are the Teal Tomorrow blocks that I have completed so far. These are all for the border and I think I have about half of them complete. I am surprised at how much I really like this quilt, especially since I am using a lot of fabrics that I did not like individually.
Now I am thinking about the drawer of beige and browns.....

Sometimes the best way to get through feeling crappy is keeping busy. I know I do that with my headaches.
