Hey Vicki, I have some symmetrical fabric that may work for you. How much do you need for your project? I can shoot a photo to send you tomorrow.

Have fun in your workshop! Isn't buying new fabric great?

Deb Levy

a girl after my own heart!

I get to clean, and refurbish furniture! But surprisingly I want to!Lol

Oh fabric....aaah. I especially am in like with the blue/green piece on the right - lovely! I'm looking forward to seeing and hearing all about your class.

I think you might want some variety in colors or it would become flat looking. I know you are in for some fussy cutting, just your thing.

How exciting to be taking a Paula Nadelstern class. Personally, I love your fabric choices. What I enjoy the most is how the fabrics look completely different once I've used them in a project. I really never know what I'm going to get. Lots of fun!

Do you have a system for determining how much fabric you purchase or do you only purchase it for a specific project? I find I'm always short on something when I'm selecting fabric for a project using my 'resources', especially when it comes to the borders and backing.

okay that's a lotta fabric for a 3 day class!

Oh Vicki, I didn't know about this quilting store, will have to visit next time I'm in Richmond, thanks! You should be Over the Moon at going to such a fabulous 3 DAY class! Lots of photos, please, and a nice long post upon your return.

I love that fabric at the bottom of the photo! I've always loved a good paisley and other related type prints. What fun you're going to have with all that lovely fabric.

Great fabric choices. I actually really like the one on the bottom. Have fun in the class.

Cindy Is Crafty

LOL, the US economy loves when you start a new project. And soon QA will be dedicating the Vicki Welsh section of the store! :O)

Hold fast to your seat - I love metallic prints. That fabric on the bottom reminds me of the walls of the Taj Mahal or any of the fine buildings built by the Mughal Emperors. I've always had a penchant for that but you wouldn't know it, ha? And truly, that fabric pulled me.

I'm thoroughly excited for you and this class, Vicki. I really enjoy when a friend gets to do just what they want to do. Brings a smile to the face.

Big tooth grin and jumping for joy!, *karendianne.

Ivory Spring

Vicki - you are one lucky gal to be able to go to the class! I hope you have LOADS of fun. You would give us a class report, won't you?

That bottom fabric will go nicely with some of the reds you picked! I love to shop for fabric *smile*

Check out the posting on the american Folk Art Museum exhibit on the quilts that she does. Here is the link and there is a downloadable exhibition catalog.

I don't typically like metallic fabrics either -- I can't wait to see what you come up with in class.

Feel better soon!

How exciting. You will have to share what you create. If you love Paula's work be sure to check out her greeting cards and tote bag.

There's nothing like new fabrics!
