I won a blog drawing!

A few weeks ago I entered a drawing on Geta's blog. She does beautiful machine trapunto work. take a stroll through herr blog and you will find lots of beautiful wall hangings and tote bags. To celebrate the publishing of her e-book on trapunto quilting, she had the drawing. The book is really well done and I will make my own some day but for now I don't have to because I have an original Geta all my own!

Hand sewing is about to pick up here at the Welsh house

Several new shows are starting that will require more hand sewing time!

The new season of Mad Men starts August 16; Project Runway is finally out of court and moves to Lifetime August 20 and Bravo's replacement, Launch My Line starts September 16. All of these will be great hand sewing additions to The Closer.....which comes on in just a few minutes.

Weekly List

I didn't get so much done this week but it's good to have family time instead of sewing time! This coming weekend I have Summerset's visit to look forward to. She and her family will be visiting Thursday and Friday as their pit stop between Atlanta and New Hampshire. 

 

Here’s what I want to get done this week (the red is last week's accomplishments).

• One hour of the cat cross stitch - I got an hour done on it this week but I will likely spend this coming week sewing down the binding on Shereen's quilt. 
• 2 hours on the log cabin - I was bad, no progress on it this week.
• 8 hours dyeing, ironing and listing for the etsy shop - Another thing that got the shaft this week. I have to get back to it this week.
• 2 hours on the College Tshirt quilt - I think I will be able to complete the top this coming weekend.
• Make birthday and MQR swap postcards. - finished the birthday cards and the MQR cards have to be my priority project for the week.
• I am making some progress on the teal quilt too but no specific goals
