Chris got to go to a great cookout on the Chesapeake Bay today. I got to stay home, as always. My day started with a migraine at 2:00 this morning. It woke my up because I was dreaming that I was dying (not dyeing) from the pain. Don't let that alarm you, all of my dreams are disaster dreams. It's death and destruction every night. Lots of fires, gun chases, murders and such. Please don't offer to analyze me. I've lived almost 49 years with it hasn't affected me one bit! LOL! Maybe I'll close this post for comments to keep my family and friend from adding their own opinions to this one. It does make anything that happens during the day pretty tame by comparison.
Anyway, after a slow start to the morning everything picked up. I decided that I should make it a good sewing day. I got another row added to the log cabin and another row pieced and ready to attach. That means that I only have 8 1/5 rows left. Yay!
Then I decided to tackle the rest of the tshirts. I have 2 blocks left to finish but I am waiting on two more shirts that Mary is sending me to include in the quilt. I am shocked that I have gotten something from every shirt included in this quilt. I'll start sewing the blocks together this week and then do a final arrangement before putting it all together.
Chris had fireworks at his party but I didn't miss out here. we have a neighbor who sets off fireworks for every holiday and family birthday. So I got to end my perfect sewing day with fireworks!
Tomorrow, I think I will be back in the dye studio. I am loving my 5-day weekend so far.

Good to know that your day went well after all.
"Funny" things those catastroph dreams. But if you cope with them...
Enjoy your weekend!

Least your dreams are a bit more exciting than mine - I always dream I'm looking for a toilet - lol ! ALWAYS :-)

Do you dread going to sleep at night, knowing those dreams are waiting for you? Glad you ended your day on a positive note and got some things accomplished.

I never remember my dreams. I guess I should count myself lucky compared to your dreams. Glad you are enjoying your long weekend.

Hope you have a good dyeing day today. I've been thinking about trying a t-shirt quilt - hope you post a picture.

I have to ask, Do you eat chocolate in the evening? I find I have vivid nightmares when I have chocolate after 6:00 pm and sometimes caffeine
has a similar effect.

Sorry about the migraine, but glad you had a pretty good day anyway. I almost never dream, but when I do it is always tragic. Last night it was husband having a heart attack. I do seem to be affected by the dreams as it takes a day or two to shake them.
I can not wait to move so I can dye again!! Looking at more houses Tuesday!

I'm being good....
Do expect it to happen again.
Glad the headache gave way to a productive day!

I think migraine sufferers have more disaster type dreams. As my headaches have lessened, I have less people trying to kill me in my sleep.
You're doing a great job one the T-shirt quilt. I like all of the different sized blocks.

Keith also always has bad dreams -- fights, getting shot, natural disasters -- he's always trying to run somewhere. I rarely have bad dreams but dreamed our plane crashed on the way home....I'd told Keith and he got a little nervous when we hit some heavy turbulence on the way back to MN.

I'm sorry about your bad dreams (usually I can't remember my dreams unless I have a fever)
