Bird Watch

The 2009 bird season continues! I though it was going to be a short season but I saw the bluebirds flying in and out of box 3 today. I think we will have eggs in a day or so!

Are these a new batch of bluebirds?

I have a bird story for you. A couple days ago my neighbor found a completely empty bird nest on a low branch in his front yard. For reasons I don't understand, he picked up the nest and took it into his garage. When he opened the garage door to leave for work the next morning, two birds immediately swooped in, picked up the nest with their beaks, and replaced it in its original location! I have never heard of such a thing!

That photo wants to make me ask if I've missed something LOL. But I'll keep my eye on it and perhaps I too will see the eggs in a few days ;-)
