This will be the last photo of the Baby Bluebirds. They will fledge tomorrow or Thursday.
But here's a good shot to end the season. As I was walking back from the mailbox I noticed something in the Bluebird box hole. If you look closely you can see a little beak waiting on some food from Mom or Dad.
and so ends the 2009 baby bird watching season.

and the Wrens are doing fine. I think I can count 5 beaks.

The baby Bluebirds are finall hatching! This photo is not so good because I wanted to be quick and I'm not going to disturb them going back to get another.
But we have a bonus today! We discovered a family of Carolina Wrens in the top of the propane tank. I love the wrens. They are tiny but they can sing louder than any other bird out there. They are my alarm clock in the morning.
I'm really looking forward to the weekend. Of course there's the holiday on Friday but I am also taking Monday and Tuesday off for a 5-day weekend. I am hopeful that I did not ruin it when I pulled a muscle in my back today. I'm spending tonight on ice and my back massage.
