Anne and I had planned to go to Asheville, NC this weekend but we had to cancel the trip. There's too much going on at work to take next week off. I made the most of the free time by getting my Christmas postcards done. I showed you the first design here. This design I blatantly stole from Mary. I needed to make a lot of cards fast and these two designs fit the bill.
The only stitching on this card is the serged edge. I used lots of different crystal colors on the 30 cards.
Here are all 60 cards stacked up. I learned that a new spool of Razzle Dazzle thread will edge about 30 cards. I don't think there's enough thread left for even 1 more card.
Now I just have to get them all addressed and in the mail!

Quilter Blogs & Store Search

The cards are great! Don't blame you for copying Mary's tree. I saw that on her site and loved it.

Good Job! I have not even sat down to design my Christmas postcards...I guess I had better get on it!

These post cards are great! I used to hand stamp cards for Christmas but lost interest...
This would be a nice alternative. I love the sort of Asian look you got from your black tree on red background.

Both are very pretty. It amazes me that you only send out 60! I thought you were a 100 kind of girl. :O)

Sixty handmade cards! I don't think I have 60 friends! That red background fabric is gorgeous.

I can't imagine making that many postcards in one time period. I like the serged edge and may have to try that. How do you finish the end?

I love these, I forgot that I bought some crystals at MQS this year. I'd used all the ones you gave me on Christmas cards I send last year and they were so cute I bought more....and then forgot to use them. I'll have to make more when I get home - but I don't think I'll make 60.

WOW. You certainly had a productive time. I haven't started on mine.

Good morning, Vicki...
Thanks for the sweet comment on my finish. I am ready to move on to another project, but haven't decided on which one yet.
Glad to know you are making progress on the cat project. I am sure your cat is MUCH BIGGER than my little monogram. So, I really have nothing to brag about...
WOW - you have been busy and very productive - those stacks of Christmas post cards are impressive!

Love those abstract trees - decided not to do any seasonal pcs this year (so far!) but I might just develop pc envy...

The cards are wonderful! I am also going to use your idea and keep track during 2009 of everything I sew/quilt/create. My mom use to keep track on index cards, but I've never done it.
