Craft Week Update #1

All is great here for craft week, except for one thing. Apparently with this crowd you have to make EVERY decision on your birthday. It's barely 1:00 and I'm already exhausted from the pressure! LOL! Here's a quick update on the happenings here in Lively, VA.

Here we all are in the sewing arena.

That's Anne on the left making bean bags for a new lawn game, Kim in the middle working on quilt blocks and me on the right (with the Alfalfa hair) working on mini log cabin blocks. See, we get really dressed up here!

Yesterday was very productive. Anne made this Loes Hinse skirt from the Skirt Trio pattern. The fabric is a beautiful silk knit from Gorgeous Fabrics. Today she making a Loes jacket from another very cool GF fabric.

Kim made a pretty new bathrobe.

And I made 20 more mini log cabin blocks and started the black/white/red string quilt.

It's been very productive so far! Last night we had a great dinner and watched the sunset.

And here's a parting shot of Kim, Chris and Anne before dinner.

Hi Vickie,

Craft Week sounds like TOO MUCH FUN! A beautiful location, good friends, your hubby doing all the cooking, and also it's your birthday? Enjoy the rest of your week and keep posting the great projects.

Happy Birthday to you!
Those log cabins look amazing, (amazingly small too!). Craft week looks like somewhere I'd love to be - enjoy it and as you well know you can't just go craftweeking with 2 small kids.
