check, check, check, check and check

I just had to post again today so that, for once, I could show everything on my list marked off! This rarely happens.  In addition to this, I cut foundations for some string blocks and dyed dark red fabric to use as the centers of the strings. It will be another Craft Week project.

  1. Finish and mail the self-portrait postcards
  2. Put labels on two QOV quilts, make pillow cases and pack them up for shipping. I also need to register them on the QOV website to get the mailing address.
  3. Make a new batch of soap (the Jojoba Avocado bar is getting good initial reviews although I have not tried it yet.) I actually made two batches. I wanted to make Cocoa Butter soap but accidentally measured out the fats for another soap. So I made both! The recipes will be in a separate post.

  4. Load the Anti-Watercolor Quilt for quilting ( you can see it in this post). I am going to quilt this one with all-over feather meander a la Meandering Magic.  I did it and even got one pass of quilting done. Need proof? Here it is. If I get this quilted this week - a real possibility - I could take it to Craft Week to bind. That would be cool.

  5. Possibly dye or sun print some fabric. Sue made me a beautiful wrapfolio to use as my fabric-dyeing log in exchange for some buttons and fabric. If I don't get the fabric done this weekend it will be on my list for Craft Week. I have to do something really nice and unique for her - she's just so talented! Here's a plug - if you have been wanting to try out Mixed media techniques, you must take one of her classes at joggles.com. Her class materials are top notch and she really can get the class enthusiasm going even in an on-line environment.

You and Mary with your check lists... I wish I were so organized and focused! Nah, won't EVER happen! Women on a mission---good for you. Now that you have some free time, I have a few projects you can finish for me!

Way to go! I like scratched off lists. That is another beautiful quilt you're working on.

Feels GOOD to check all those things off the list doesn't it?? I need to start a new list now!

OK, so what did you do in your spare time this weekend? *LOL*

Gosh Vicki, did you sleep at all over the weekend!?

Good work on the list! Maybe I'll make up a list of everything I did over the weekend so that I can cross it all off. LOL.

Your dyed/printed pieces are GREAT! I'm gettin' the itch to do some. Wow, you're crossing so much off your list - I'm jealous!

I live by the list!!!! and the satisfaction of crossing things off.
