Thought I would post these photos of the most recent silk fusion sheets I made. I've decided that I like doing this so much that I'm setting up a separate category for the silk fusion projects.
This first sheet was made with pre-dyed soy silk roving. I think the color is Rainbow and it's from Joggles.com. I had an old spool of a silver thread - one of the early varieties that didn't sew so well. I unwound the entire spool to use as an inclusion. I have a few more spools of this crappy thread and now I know how I will use the rest of it! See, you should never throw anything away!
This next sheet was painted with Dye-Na-Flo on beached soy silk. I blended blue, purple and black to get a dark blue. The purple actually separated out some and I really like the effect. I used Easy Metal Leaf Flakes as the inclusion. The metal leaf flakes are really cool and you find them all over your house for DAYS!
This is my last post for a few days. I have to go out of town for work for a couple of days. It's a real bummer when work gets in the way of play! But I have to be able to pay for all of my toys.
