Your comments on my tea dyeing have me cracking up! I'm glad everyone sees the humor that I see in myself on this one. I'm steeping tea for my last 4 pieces of the large muslin collection so I will have everything dyed today. I'll iron tomorrow morning (Debra, that's done to set the dye or else I would NOT do it either!). Then into 2 mordant vats, rinsing and drying. I'll post photos later tomorrow of the final results.
Today I went to the Mid-Atlantic quilt festival with a friend and my Mom. This year they have the best quilt exhibit ever. The caliber of quilts and wearables was impressive! One highlight was getting to see Summerset's "American Beauty" outfit up close. Please check out her posts on this outfit and see the quality of workmanship and design in this outfit.
I behaved myself with buying (compared to my normal behavior at quilt shows). I bought a cool collection of colorful tulle and a set of 34 fat quarters from a new collection called "metro" by Benartex. My Mom and I were going to fight over this bundle but fortunately I didn't have to knock her down - they had two!
Then I came home and read Sewdistracted's blog about a ribbon sale. I bought some of these ribbons a couple of months ago and love them. I got them at a museum and have been wanting to find more - how wonderful is it that I found them at HALF PRICE! I'll post photos when they arrive. Back to my tea........

Vicki, you truly are trying to corrupt me, aren't you? That place had your cake ribbon! Oh my gosh. I had to resist the urge to buy a gazillion yards. I found a few others I needed, too....
